Ahh, I am definitely dreaming of the beach today and creating this post has got me all excited for my up-coming trip to California, where I think this outfit would fit in perfectly.

I absolutely love the bright yellows and there is something so relaxing about cutoff denim shorts. That bag would be fab for holding all my beachy essentials and I NEED that towel. I might just have to invest before I jet off to the sun :)

I have absolutely no plans this weekend and I'm actually really looking forward to it. It is very rare that I have a completely free weekend, so I'm just going to relax and enjoy it!

(wanderlust) wimbledon

I'm keeping things current with this week's Wanderlust and we're heading down to the London suburb, Wimbledon, where the world famous tennis tournament started on Monday.

I'm an avid tennis fan, both watching and playing, and Wimbledon is definitely my favourite. I love the tradition and the Englishness about it and I love any excuse to enjoy strawberries and champagne ;)

I don't think I'll be making it to Wimbledon this year but you can guarantee that I'll be watching it on the TV and I am lusting over those adorable Kate Spade accessories.

I love this colour combination but it isn't one I wear a lot of. I prefer to enjoy this combination of colours in decoration or accessories. 

How fabulous is the lighting in that Kalle Gustafsson photograph. I think it is beautiful.

And that sweet table... wouldn't that be perfect for a baby shower or a hen/bachelorette party :)

Happy Friday! Woo, it's finally the weekend!

A favourite colour combination of mine is definitely dark blue and pink and I think they look fab when colour blocked. As per Friday tradition, I've linked up with {AV} for her Friday's Fancies series and I urge you to pop on over there now to check out other colour blocking inspiration :)

My sister has been away all week, so the highlight of my weekend will be catching up with her, along with a couple of friends who have also been away on holiday. I also intend to sleep in and relax.

I love my life and my job and I'm really happy with where I am right now but I do know that I would like to be more creative on a daily basis and I've know this for a while... so, in an attempt to alter the direction of my career and live what I love, I have signed up for a new college course and I resolve to make my dreams come true; or at least try.

One of my absolute favourite style bloggers is Jules from Sincerely, Jules. I love getting my daily dose of style from her site and I really love her love for Converse -- something I never wear but following this post, I think I might just make a change to that next time I go shopping.

I love this outfit. It's casual, comfortable and looks chic. I can even imagine throwing on a blazer to smarten the look up a bit.

And a sparkly clutch? Yes please! What a great way to add a bit of glitter to your day.

The boy and I have plans to travel the world in a couple of years. It has been on my bucket list (do you have one of them?) for ages and I seriously cannot wait.

Today marks the start of my Wanderlust series and each week from today, I will be jetting to a new city or country or perhaps a hotel or restaurant that I've been dreaming of and I'll also be including dream activities. Basically, the planing for my travels starts now... how exciting! I hope you enjoy jetting around the world with me :)

I have only been in work for 2 full days so far and it is Friday already! God bless 4 day weekends and 3 day weeks! Imagine if it was always like that :)

As expected, this week has flown by and I've been terribly unproductive. I just could not get back in to the swing of things and I'm so excited it is the weekend!

This Saturday, I will be celebrating a friend's recent engagement and I would LOVE to be wearing something just like this...

Wow, check out those shoes!! I am still trying to figure out how you're meant to walk in them but I'm blown away and really want a pair! What do you think... love or hate?

WOW! How is it June already?! This year is seriously flying by and even though I promised I wouldn't wish my life away, I booked my flights to California yesterday, so July 12th can't come soon enough!

This weekend is actually very exciting for several reasons...

1. My friend is getting married and I'm a bridesmaid

2. It is an extra long bank holiday weekend -- yep, we have Monday and Tuesday off next week :)

3. It is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, so there are going to be lots of street parties & celebrations
